Best Bet For Saturday (March 14th): UFC Predictions
UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Vallejos (aka UFC Vegas 114)
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
Unfortunately, it seems that other bettors agree with my best bet, because this line has been steamed up over the past few days. I got it for -186 on Wednesday – now it’s at -235. However, there aren’t too many other lines I like better, so I’m sticking with it.
I’ve got Elijah Smith beating Su Young You in a bantamweight fight on the prelims. You’s nickname is ‘Yoo-Jitsu’, which is fitting because that is what he relies on to win MMA fights. The problem with relying on grappling and jiu-jitsu tomorrow is that Smith is also a strong grappler, both physically and technique-wise.
Additionally, Smith is the much better fighter on the feet, with more activity and more power in the striking department. Add in that he’s much younger (seven years) and bigger (three inches taller, six-inch reach advantage), and I think Smith wins this fight going away.
