Miami Heat vs Charlotte Hornets
Start Time – 7:00 PM EST
Two teams locked in battle in the Eastern Conference standings hook up tomorrow in Charlotte, as the ninth-place Hornets host the eighth-seeded Miami Heat.
It feels wrong to go against the surging Hornets, winners of six straight, especially considering Norman Powell is out for the Heat. But my numbers say the line should be Charlotte -3.5, so the Heat plus the points is my play.
Best Bet: Miami +6.5 (-110)
Indiana Pacers vs Los Angeles Lakers
Start Time – 10:30 PM EST
The tanking Indiana Pacers (actually, are they really tanking or just bad? I think the latter) face the Los Angeles Lakers tomorrow night in La-La Land, so I knew we’d get a playable spread here. But just barely.
The Lakers are always inflated at the books, so you can make a killing fading them, as I have done for the duration of this season (and last season, and the one before it, and…). My line is Los Angeles -9.5, so I’ll take the Pacers plus the points on the road.
Best Bet: Indiana +12 (-110)
