Central Michigan at Kent State
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Central Michigan comes into this game with a 9-18 overall record and a 0-13 road mark. The Chippewas are 14-11 overall against the spread and 4-9 ATS on the road.
Kent State enters this matchup with a 20-7 overall record and a 12-2 mark at home. The Golden Flashes are 10-15 overall ATS and 6-6 ATS at home.
Kent State has won seven of the last 10 games head-to-head with Central Michigan. However, the Chippewas have covered in eight out of the last 10 played against Kent State. Central Michigan clipped Kent State in Mount Pleasant as a 10.5-point underdog.
Kent State has won seven of its last 10, and it has won three of its last four games at home. They did get beaten by Miami(OH) at home. Central Michigan has yet to win a road game this year, but it’s covered in six of its last 10.
The handicap here is simple. Central Michigan has been awful away from home, and we have a Kent State revenge spot from the January loss. The Chippewas are also off a win against rival Western Michigan. Kent State has a fantastic offense and doesn’t really try on the defensive end. The good news is that Central Michigan can’t really shoot, and they’re even worse on the road. Kent State is due for a crazy shooting night, and Central Michigan is soft on the inside and doesn’t defend the perimeter. Lock up Kent State to win and cover the big number at home.
Best Bet: Kent State -10.5
Bradley at UIC
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Bradley comes into this matchup with a 19-10 overall record and a 4-6 mark on the road. The Braves are 11-17 overall ATS and 3-7 ATS on the road.
UIC enters this game with a 16-13 overall record and an 8-5 mark at home. The Flames are 14-13 overall ATS and 6-5 ATS at home.
This game is for the two-seed in Arch Madness, and it’s Senior Night in Chicago.
Bradley has won seven of the last 10 games in this matchup, but UIC has covered seven of the last 10 games in this series. UIC has won back-to-back games in this series, including a win at Bradley as a 6.5-point underdog in January.
UIC is off a bad loss at home against Valparaiso, and they are honoring their seniors tonight. If this isn’t a get-up spot for the Flames, what is?
Bradley has lost three of their last five road games. The Braves have also failed to cover in three of their last five away from Peoria. They’re also off a rivalry win at home against Illinois State.
Bradley does most of their damage from beyond the arc, but UIC is 58th in the nation in three-point shooting percentage against. The Flames are the better rebounding team, and they can do enough on offense to stay ahead of Bradley. The spot screams UIC, so let’s lock up the Flames to win and cover as a short favorite.
Best Bet: UIC -2.5
Fresno State at Colorado State
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Fresno State enters this game with a 12-15 overall record and a 2-7 mark on the road. The Bulldogs are 18-8 overall ATS and 6-3 ATS on the road.
Colorado State comes into this matchup with a 17-10 overall record and an 11-4 mark at home. The Rams are 16-10 overall ATS and 9-5 ATS at home.
Colorado State has won nine of the last 10 games in this series, but Fresno State just beat the Rams in Fresno as a 4.5-point underdog. Colorado State has covered in seven of the last 10 games played in this series.
Fresno State has only won four of its last 10 games, but it’s covered eight times over that stretch. The Bulldogs have been a spread darling all year.
Colorado is 6-4 outright and 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games. The Rams have won five in a row and covered four in a row.
The handicap here is that Colorado State is a very good three-point shooting team, but Fresno State defends the perimeter. The Bulldogs are 29th in the nation in three-point shooting percentage against. Fresno State can also get buckets on the inside, and Colorado State is a little soft on the interior. The Rams are 263rd in the nation in shooting percentage on two-point shots. Fresno State is a bad matchup for Colorado State. The Bulldogs won outright once this year, and they’re catching 8.5 points? Let’s lock up Fresno State to stay within the number.
Best Bet: Fresno State +8.5
