The game in question takes place in the Mid-American Athletic Conference, as the 17-10 (11-7 MAAC) Marist Red Foxes host the 12-17 (8-10 MAAC) Sacred Heart Pioneers. These two teams have played once this season, in the Pioneers’ barn, with the Red Foxes escaping with a four-point win.
Sacred Heart, as their record more than hints at, is not a very good team, only winning twice in their last six games. While their offense is average, their defense is among the worst in the nation. Marist is the opposite, with the 13th-best defensive rating in the country, but a mediocre offense.
After crunching all the numbers, my line for this game is Marist -13, so the home side on the spread is the play.
