The top two teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference face off tomorrow night in St. Louis, as the #18-ranked (and top team in the conference) Saint Louis Billikens host the second-place VCU Rams. While these two teams may be close in the standings, they aren’t in the same ballpark when you dive into the advanced stats.
The Billikens are the superior team here, even though they were upset in their last game by Rhode Island, only their second loss this season. Possessing the sixth-best offensive rating in the nation and the best defensive rating, Saint Louis is an elite team. Additionally, they have yet to lose at home and beat VCU by nine in their barn.
My line for tomorrow night’s matchup is Saint Louis -11, so the Billikens will cover the spread at home for us.
