The 2026 Winter Olympics (aka the XXV Winter Olympic Games, aka Milano Cortina 2026) are heading to the finish line already, but we still have plenty of time to hit some more bets. Winter Olympics Best Bet For Wednesday (February 18th): Women’s Skiing Predictions
Women’s Slalom Finals
Start Time: 7:30 AM EST
If I had limited my bets to only the skiing events at these Winter Olympics, I’d be much better off. The slopes have been profitable for me; the rest of the terrain, not so much. So I’m headed back to the Italian mountains tomorrow for another winner.
As for most of the skiing events at these Olympics, the American women have dominated the headlines: Lindsey Vonn and Mikaela Shiffrin. Shiffrin’s event, the slalom, is up tomorrow as she looks to win her first Olympic medal since 2018. So far in Italy, she’s come up empty.
So I’m not putting my money on Shiffrin to podium tomorrow, despite her winning seven of the eight World Cup slalom events this season. Instead, I’m going with the only woman to beat her in one of those competitions, Camille Rast of Switzerland. Rast came a distant second to Shiffrin in the season standings, but she finished the year up strong. I think she medals tomorrow.
Best Bet: Camille Rast to win a medal (+100)
