Team Austin vs Team Melo
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
Austin would be Austin Rivers; Melo is obviously Carmelo Anthony. Not only were their respective NBA careers vastly different, but so is the makeup of their rosters for this tournament. Rivers has a team of G League players, while Melo drafted Cooper Flagg, Stephon Castle, and Dylan Harper, among others.
In this semi-final game to 40 points, you have to go with Team Melo to roll to victory, assuming they don’t take the G Leaguers for granted and dog it.
Best Bet: Team Melo ML (-290)
Team Vince vs Team T-Mac
Start Time – 9:55 PM EST
The other semi-final should be a more competitive affair, as cousins Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady go at it. Team Vince is led by VJ Edgecombe, Derik Queen, and Kyshawn George; Team T-Mac counters with Kon Knueppel, Kel’el Ware, and Tre Johnson.
I’m leaning T-Mac in this matchup, as I like the talent on his roster a bit more, but it’s a close one. And whoever wins this game will lose to Melo in the finals.
