The Ottawa Senators are having real trouble this season keeping the puck out of their own net, allowing the eighth most goals per game in the league (and the most of any team in action tomorrow night). So we’re targeting the Senators’ opponent tomorrow night, the Philadelphia Flyers, for a goal scorer.
Let’s make that player Travis Konency, who has scored eight times in his past 10 games and has 22 for the season, putting him on pace for a career-high (tying) 33 goals.
Nashville Predators vs Washington Capitals
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Scoring 33 times in a season would be considered a down year for Alex Ovechkin, but he’s also the greatest goal scorer in NHL history, with 919 career goals – and counting.
Technically, the 40-year-old Russian has slowed down this season, with ‘only’ 22 goals in 58 games. However, one of those goals came against the Nashville Predators when they played earlier this year. And he’s going to light the lamp again tomorrow night.
