It’s “numbered event” time again in the UFC, and I’ve got the winning play. For my best bet for Saturday, January 31st: UFC Predictions, we’re headed to the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, for UFC 325. Let’s get this money!

The fight I’ve zeroed in on for my best bet tomorrow is a welterweight bout between Australian Jonathan Micallef and Oban Elliott of Wales. This fight was originally scheduled to take place last September, but it was cancelled at the last minute. I was taking Micallef at that time (he was a dog for the first matchup), and my pick hasn’t changed.
The Aussie is younger, has a significant reach advantage (five inches), and is a finisher both on the feet and on the mat (two knockouts, three submissions in eight pro victories). Micallef should have the power advantage on the feet and the home crowd rooting him on. I think he puts a striking pace on Elliott and gets his hand raised at the end of the fight.
