Buffalo Sabres vs Montreal Canadiens
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
We’ve got an Atlantic Division rivalry game going down in La Belle Province tomorrow, as the third-place Montreal Canadiens host the fourth-place Buffalo Sabres. These are heady times for both teams, as the Habs are on pace for their first 100+ point season since 2016/17, and the Sabres are heading towards their first playoff appearance since 2010/11.
These two teams just played last week in Buffalo, with the home side coming through with the W (the Canadiens won an early meeting in Montreal). While the Canadiens are just an average team on their home ice, the Sabres are the same on the road. The difference in this one could be Montreal’s high-powered offense (third best in the league) going up against the Sabres’ below-average defense.
I’m going with the Canadiens (on the moneyline), holding serve on their home ice as my best bet for Thursday.
