Well, we did it. We made it through the closest thing MMA has to an offseason, and the big dogs, the UFC, are back this week, baby, with UFC 324. But don’t call it a pay-per-view – at least not in the United States. It’s a “numbered event”. For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC 324, I’ve got a knockout prop from Saturday’s prelims. UFC 324: Gaethje vs Pimblett
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST (Paramount+)
Light heavyweight Modestas Bukauskas is having a much better time in his second go-around in the UFC. The Lithuanian-British fighter has won six of his seven fights since getting a second chance in the world’s biggest MMA promotion, including a knockout win over Paul Craig in his last fight.
And I’m expecting him to make it back-to-back knockout wins come Saturday. His opponent this week, Nikita Krylov, has taken tons of damage over a long career, and it’s starting to show, as he’s been knocked out in his last two fights. Once a fighter loses his chin, it doesn’t come back.
