Detroit Red Wings vs Toronto Maple Leafs
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Toronto Maple Leafs center Auston Matthews seems to have realized that 2026 is an even number, and seasons that end with an even number are seasons where he lights up the scoreboard. After only scoring 33 goals last season, he was due for a big year this season.
With goals in his last three games and four of his past five, Matthews has started to heat up. His 10 goals in his past 10 games are tied for the most in the league, and he’s up to 25 goals for the season.
Anaheim Ducks vs Colorado Avalanche
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST
Colorado Avalanche’s Brock Nelson wasn’t due for a big year this season, but he’s having one regardless. He scored 26 goals last season, split between the New York Islanders and the Avalanche, but this year he’s at 24 goals in only 47 games.
And, like Matthews, he’s on a heater, with 10 goals over his last 10 games. I like him to get another tomorrow night, as the Anaheim Ducks can’t keep the puck out of their net.
