St. Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
Things are not going according to plan for the Winnipeg Jets this season. With their points total over/under set at 97.5 points heading into the season – and coming off years of 116 and 110 points – the Jets only have 44 points through 47 games, a 77-point pace. Having reigning MVP Connor Hellebuyck out for a chunk of the season certainly didn’t help matters, as Winnipeg’s goals against went from best in the league last season to 15th this year.
But there are some positives. Winnipeg has won four of its last five games and is 11-9-4 at home, where they will host the St. Louis Blues tomorrow night. And the best part for the Jets is that the Blues are a crummy hockey team. They’re the worst in the league on offense, and third worst at keeping the puck out of their net. And they’re 7-13-3 road record is also near the basement of the league.
This all adds up to a win for the Jets at home tomorrow night. Winnipeg on the very playable moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
