Perfect 3-0 Cards: 9-41

Green Bay at Campbell

Start Time: 12:00 PM EST

Green Bay enters this game with a 6-7 overall record and a 1-5 record on the road. The Phoenix are 6-5 against the spread and 2-4 ATS on the road.

Campbell comes into this matchup with a 5-7 overall record and a 4-0 record at home. The Camels are 4-5-1 ATS overall and 0-1-1 ATS at home.

These two teams are exceptionally similar to each other. Neither team really plays defense, and they’re not very efficient on offense. However, there is a difference in how inefficient they are.

Green Bay is the better shooting team by a wide margin. Campbell is only two from the bottom in three-point shooting. They’re shooting less than 70% from the free-throw line. They’ve bottom-40 in shooting percentage on two-point shots. Green Bay is way ahead in every offensive metric except efficiency.

Campbell has the home court advantage, but how many people will really be at this game? The Camels only had 1,139 people in attendance at their most recent home game against Ball State. This is during the day and right before a holiday.

Let’s take Green Bay and the points. The Phoenix’s shooting will keep them in this one, and it may come down to the foul game. Lock up Green Bay plus the 5.5 points to cover.

Best Bet: Green Bay +5.5

Grambling at Ohio State

Start Time: 2:00 PM EST

Grambling comes into this game with a 5-6 overall record and a 1-6 mark on the road. The Tigers are 7-3 ATS overall and 4-3 ATS on the road.

Ohio State enters this matchup with an 8-3 overall record and a 6-1 mark at home. The Buckeyes are 5-6 ATS overall and 3-4 ATS at home.

Ohio State is coming into this game off a one-point loss against North Carolina. The Buckeyes have beaten Purdue-Fort Wayne by 26, Mount St. Mary’s by 43, and Western Michigan by 33. Grambling is arguably better than Mount St. Mary’s and Western Michigan, but not by much. The only Power Five team Grambling has played this year was Iowa State. The Tigers lost by 40 in Ames, IA.

After this game, Ohio State is off until the team gets back into Big Ten play on January 2nd. This is their last tune-up for almost 10 days before Big Ten conference play really gets rolling. Look for Ohio State to put it on Grambling. Buckeyes should win this comfortably and cover the 27.5 points.

Best Bet: Ohio State -27.5

Villanova at Seton Hall

Start Time: 7:00 PM EST

Villanova comes into this game with a 9-2 overall record and a 1-1 record on the road. The Wildcats are 8-3 ATS overall and 1-1 ATS on the road.

Seton Hall enters this matchup with an 11-1 overall record and a 7-0 record at home. The Pirates are 8-4 ATS overall and 3-4 ATS at home.

Villanova is on a two-game winning streak after dropping a game at Michigan. Their only other road game this year was at La Salle, and they won by 15.

Seton Hall is on a five-game winning streak. That run includes road wins at Providence and Kansas State. They also have a neutral site win over Washington State.

In the last 10 games played between Seton Hall and Villanova, the Wildcats have won nine out of 10. The only win for Seton Hall? They were favored in a home matchup last year in which they won and covered against Villanova.

Seton Hall comes into this one allowing the six least average points per game to opponents this year. The Pirates have a top-20 defense in the country this year. They also get the home floor advantage. On the offensive end, Villanova is the better offensive team, but Seton Hall can make free throws and take care of the ball. The Pirates are also one of the better teams in the nation in generating steals and blocks. If Villanova starts turning the ball over, Seton Hall is good enough to take advantage.

Both of these teams play at a slower pace, so this one should be a tight affair. It may come down to the free-throw game at the end. Seton Hall is the better team from the line, and they get to shoot in their building. Let’s lock up the Pirates to win and cover the 2.5 points.

Best Bet: Seton Hall -2.5
