Matt Dewoskin ATS College Basketball Picks Record (Est 11/3/2025)

All Selections: 65-44-2
Perfect 3-0 Cards: 8-29

New Mexico at VCU

Start Time: 8:00 PM EST

New Mexico enters this matchup with a 7-2 overall record and a 0-1 record on the road. The Lobos are 3-5 ATS and 0-1 ATS on the road. This is New Mexico’s first true road game outside of New Mexico.

VCU comes into this game with a 6-3 overall record and a 4-0 record at home. The Rams are 6-2-1 ATS this year, but are 3-1 ATS at the Siegel Center.

New Mexico is making its first real road trip of the year, and they’re traveling cross-country to a legitimately tough building to play in. They’re also coming off a blowout win over Santa Clara. They’ve also struggled with athletic teams this year. The Lobos have losses to Mississippi State and Nebraska on their resume.

The Rams are also the better team on both sides of the ball. They are the better shooting team, and they get to play on familiar rims. The Rams also have a legitimately nasty defense.

Given the travel, the situation, and the differences in quality and athleticism, this is a smash spot for VCU. The Rams clamp on defense and open it up on offense. The Rams win and cover the nine points.

Best Bet: VCU -9

Weber State at Kansas City

Start Time: 8:00 PM EST

Weber State enters this game with a 4-5 overall record and a 0-4 record on the road. The Wildcats are 6-2 ATS this year with a 3-1 record ATS on the road.

Kansas City comes into this matchup with a 1-0 overall record and a 1-2 record at home. The Roos are 1-7 ATS and 0-2 ATS in Kansas City.

Weber State is also coming into this game off a road loss at St. Thomas. The Tommies blew out the Wildcats by 23, but relief for Weber State is on the way. They get to play Kansas City.

The Roos are a bottom-30 team in the country and have a bottom-20 offense. The Roos have averaged only 65.3 points per game against DI opponents this year. They’ve allowed DI opponents to average 84.8 points per game. They don’t score enough to keep pace, and they struggle to defend just about every area of the floor.

Kansas City lost at home to Idaho State by 11 and to Iona by 14. These two teams also just played on November 29th in Ogden, UT. The Wildcats won by 21 points.

This line stinks, but the Buffalo line from last night stunk, too. Let’s dive into the stinky line because Kansas City is legitimately one of the 30 worst programs in the nation. Weber State rolls and picks up its first road win. The Wildcats win by double digits.

Best Bet: Weber State -4.5

Fresno State at Cal State-Northridge

Start Time: 10:00 PM EST

Fresno State comes into this game with a 6-4 overall record and a 5-4 record ATS. This is the Bulldogs’ first true road game of the season.

Cal State-Northridge enters this matchup with a 4-5 overall record and a 3-0 home record. The Matadors are 3-5 ATS, but 2-0 ATS at home.

CSUN catches Fresno State coming to their floor, and the Matadors play with pace. The unfamiliar gym and a team that tries to get up and down the court will mess with a team that’s been easily messed with. Fresno State has already lost to UC-San Diego and Cal State-Bakersfield. UC-San Diego is a better team than CSUN, but Cal State-Bakersfield is legitimately worse. Fresno State has already been clipped in these in-state battles, and the line is telling.

CSUN can give up points on defense, but Fresno State isn’t a very good shooting team. The Bulldogs are prone to cold stretches, and CSUN will get the ball moving while the Bulldogs nap. Let’s lock up CSUn to get the win and cover the 1.5 points.

Best Bet: Cal State-Northridge -1.5
