NFL Week 14 Defensive Player Props – Best Bets
Our Favorite Sack Props
Nick Herbig – PIT (+178)
Lamar Jackson has been taking sacks both before and after his injury. He’s averaging 3.0 sacks per games, and that number does not seem to be slowing down at all. Pittsburgh gets to the quarterback well and should rack up three or four on Sunday. While TJ Watt is the household name and the chalk play, look for Herbig to record one of those. He is just 0.5 sacks behind Watt on the year and has two in his last four games.
Chop Robinson – MIA (+162)
Miami has been surprisingly good at getting pressure on the quarterback. They picked up four sacks last week and are averaging 2.7 per game over the last three. They’ll be chasing down Tyrod Taylor, who has been sacked eight times in the three games since becoming the starter again. Look for Chop Robinson to add to that total. He had 1.5 sacks last game and was a big part of keeping Tyler Shough uneasy in their recent win.
Our Favorite Tackle Props
Cole Bishop – BUF – Over 6.5 Tackles and Assists (-110)
Cole Bishop has come within 0.5 total tackles of this mark in each of the last four weeks. Twice he came up 0.5 short and twice he surpassed it by 0.5. However, what I love about his chances to go over again is the fact that he’s fcing the Bengals. Cincinnati leads the league with 66.1% of their plays being passing plays. They’ll likely be trailing the Bills early and need to pass all game. If that’s the case, there will be plenty of chances for Bishop to get his tackles.
Noah Sewell – CHI – Over 7.5 Tackles and Assists (-127)
Sewell returns from an injury this week and will be replacing Tremaine Edmunds who went on IR just 14 days ago. Prior to his own injury Sewell was averaging 6.1 total tackles per game, and now should have more chances with Edwards out. Additionally, Green Bay is one of the more run heavy teams in the league. They rank 4th with 47.9% of their plays coming on the ground, which should open up chances for the linebackers.
Our Favorite Interception Props
Will Harris – WAS (+1600)
Okay, this is a longer shot that we usually take with our interception props, but hear me out. While the Commanders have just six interceptions all year, they have the pleasure of JJ McCarthy throwing the ball their way. He has 10 picks in just six games, and he’s coming off an injury week for this one. Harris has gotten his hands to a ball in each of the last two weeks, and it’s this week that I think he reels one in.
Kamari Lassiter – HOU (+750)
It’s as good of a time as any to predict a Patrick Mahomes interception. With the Chiefs struggling, he looks like he’s pressing and has been making a ton more mistakes. He only has seven picks on the year, but five of them have come over the last five games. While Lassiter has been beat up a bit lately, he has been all over deflecting passes over the last five weeks. Maybe Mahomes tries to force something that way knowing that and he comes up big for us.
