Week 14 of the NFL season is upon us, and it’s getting down to the nitty-gritty for a bunch of teams if they plan on participating in this year’s playoffs. While only a handful of teams have been technically eliminated at this point, the number of teams with realistic hopes of making the playoffs is dwindling. For my best bet for Thursday, December 4th: NFL Predictions, we’re off to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, for Thursday Night Football. Let’s get this money!

Dallas Cowboys vs Detroit Lions
Start Time: 8:15 PM EST
I didn’t mention all that playoff stuff in the opening just to hit a word count – it’s applicable for tomorrow’s Thursday Night Football game, as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Lions in Detroit. Both teams need to do some work to make the postseason, with both the Lions and the Cowboys having around a 25% chance of making it at this point.
The Cowboys have come back from the dead, winning their last three games to play themselves back into contention. Meanwhile, the Lions have been scuffling along, winning one week and then losing the next. However, the Lions are good at Ford Field (4-2), while the Cowboys are bad away from Dallas (2-4).
Detroit is also way better on defense than Dallas is. My line is Detroit -8.5, so I like the Lions to cover at home tomorrow night.
