Western Michigan at South Dakota

Start Time: 2:00 PM EST

Western Michigan has one of the oddest records in college basketball’s first two weeks. The Broncos have wins over Coastal Carolina and IPFW in Kalamazoo. They also lost to DII Northwood University in Kalamazoo and lost to Campbell in Buies Creek.

On the other side of this matchup, South Dakota lost its first game at home to Utah Tech, but has rolled in each of its last two home games. The Coyotes also covered against Creighton on the road. This game will feature a high number of points and minimal defense, as both teams play at a fast pace and don’t really guard each other.

However, South Dakota covered their last home game with a line, and they should do the same in this one. Western Michigan gave up 85 points to a DII school on their floor. It’s hard to see them stay within the number against a DI opponent with a legitimate home-court advantage. South Dakota keeps the train rolling at home and wins by at least eight. Lock up these Coyotes here.

Best Bet: South Dakota -4.5

Presbyterian at Sacramento State

Start Time: 4:00 PM EST

Presbyterian heads out to California to meet the Sacramento State Hornets. Sacramento State has dropped two in a row, including a home game to UC-Santa Barbara. The Hornets need a get right spot and we get a short line here.

Presbyterian comes into this matchup at 3-2. They are off a blowout loss to South Carolina, but they have a road win at Georgia State.

Sacramento State comes in with notable advantages on both sides of the ball. Their defense is a good matchup for a Blue Hose offense that has looked really mediocre at times this year, and the Hornets have just enough on offense to give Presbyterian trouble. Given that Sacramento State is aching for a win and this is in their building, they should have no problem covering a short number here. Lock up Sacramento State to get the cover here.

Best Bet: Sacramento State -4.5

Incarnate Word at Indiana

Start Time: 5:30 PM EST

Incarnate Word pays a visit to Bloomington, IN for a game against the Hoosiers. Indiana has gone out of their way to drill everyone they’ve played. The Hooisers beat Alabama A&M by 48, Marquette by 23, and Milwaukee by 31. Indiana has Lindenwood up next, so there isn’t a look-ahead spot.

Incarnate Word is one of the worst defensive teams in the country so far this year. They gave up 98 points to Colorado State in their season opener. However, they allowed Jarvis Christian to score 60 and let Southwestern Christian score 70. Indiana should break triple digits here.

The Hoosiers are looking to start the DeVries era by smashing everyone, and that’s exactly what they’ll do here. Indiana should win by 30 plus and cover the beefy number.

Best Bet: Indiana -25.5
