Thursdays are normally pretty quiet in the NBA world, but tomorrow that gets taken to the extreme – we have only one game on the slate. But, at least “my” Phoenix Suns are one of the teams playing. Here are your NBA predictions and preview for Thursday, November 6th.
NBA Predictions & Preview For Wednesday, November 5th
Los Angeles Clippers vs Phoenix Suns
Start Time – 9:00 PM EST
Both the Los Angeles Clippers (3-4) and the Phoenix Suns (3-5) aren’t off to the greatest of starts to the season, but in one case, it’s a big disappointment, and in the other, a mild, pleasant surprise. The Clippers were expected to be among the upper echelon of the league, projected for 49.5 wins this season. The Suns were supposed to be a train wreck, once more, projected for 30.5 wins.
While Phoenix is still on pace for 30-31 wins, they’ve been more competitive than I had expected. That is especially the case at home in the Mortgage Matchup Center, where they are 3-1 thus far. However, the Clippers have already spanked the Suns once this year, beating them by 27 points last month.
However (again), Los Angeles will be without both Kawhi Leonard and James Harden tomorrow. Crunching the advanced stats and adding in Phoenix’s home court advantage, my line for tomorrow is Los Angeles -1 (and that’s with both Leonard and Harden playing). That makes the Suns plus the points my play for Thursday.
