A busy NFL Sunday usually portends a quiet day for the NHL, and that’s the case tomorrow with only five games on ice. But that’s plenty to find a couple of goal scorers from. For my NHL goal scorer parlay for Sunday (November 2nd): NHL Predictions, we’re off to the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, and the SAP Center at San Jose, California. Let’s hit the ice!
NHL Goal Scorer Parlay For Sunday (November 2nd): NHL Predictions
Columbus BLue Jackets vs New York islanders
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
We’ll start things off on the Island, as the 5-5-1 New York Islanders host the 6-4 Columbus Blue Jackets. Despite being coached by one of the greatest goalies ever, Patrick Roy, and having a former All-Star between the pipes in Ilya Sorokin, goaltending has been the Islanders’ bugaboo this season, as they are allowing the seventh most goals per game in the league.
So let’s go with the Blue Jackets’ leading scorer, Kirill Marchenko, to light the lamp tomorrow evening.
Detroit Red Wings vs San Jose Sharks
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
However, when it comes to lousy ‘goal prevention’, the San Jose Sharks say, “hold my beer”. The Sharks allow a league-worst 4.36 per game, helping explain their 3-6-2 record.
So the visiting Detroit Red Wings are going to find the back of the net quite a bit tomorrow night, I’m guessing. Detroit’s Alex DeBrincat, among the league leaders in Expected Goals, is a good candidate to be one of the scorers.
