Minnesota Vikings vs Detroit Lions
Start Time: 1:00 PM EST
My best bet for tomorrow is coming from a NFC North matchup, with the last place (3-4) Minnesota Vikings visiting the second place (5-2) Detroit Lions. The Vikings enter the game struggling, losing two straight and three of their last four, including losing by 27 points to the Los Angles Chargers last week.
But at least the visitors will have quarterback J.J. McCarthy back taking snaps tomorrow afternoon, returning to the state where he won a national championship in college at Ann Arbor with the Wolverines. However, since being drafted 10th overall in 2024, he’s played exactly two games in the NFL.
And coming back rusty against the Lions sounds like a recipe for disaster. Detroit is solid everywhere, once again, rated as a top five team in the NFL and the second best in the NFC based on advanced stats.
My line for tomorrow is Detroit -16.5, so the Lions on the spread is my best bet for Sunday.
