“My” Toronto Blue Jays have mushed my last two daily best bets, but that’s something I’m ok with. Because improbably, the Jays are one win away from winning their first World Series since 1993. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Toronto Blue Jays
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The Toronto Blue Jays can write the final chapter of their rags-to-riches story tomorrow night in front of their rabid home fans, going from last place in the AL East last season to World Series champions this year. And home is where the wins are for the Jays this season, as they had an American League best 54-27 home record during the regular season, only topped by the Philadelphia Phillies.
However, the Rogers Centre hasn’t been as accommodating for the Blue Jays during the playoffs, as they’ve only gone 4-3 in Toronto. And, most important is who they’ll be facing on the bump tomorrow night – Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has been dazzling this postseason run for the Los Angeles Dodgers, including pitching an ever-rare back-to-back complete games in his past two starts.
I think Yamamoto will be too much for the Jays again tomorrow. The Dodgers on the moneyline is my best bet for Friday (and, no, I’m not just taking them for superstitious reasons).
