We’ve only got two NHL games on Monday’s slate to pick a couple of goal scorers from, but maybe that’s the type of limitation I need to jumpstart a winning streak – keep it simple, stupid. We can always hope. St. Louis Blues vs Pittsburgh Penguins

While the nickname ‘Sid the Kid’ probably doesn’t fit the now-38-year-old Sidney Crosby, the former Kid is still playing like a kid. Crosby has six goals and 11 points in the first nine games of the season.
The fact that Crosby is scoring on a ridiculous 40% of his shots this season is a bit of a concern for tomorrow, but with a short slate of games, we’ll take our chances.
Boston Bruins vs Ottawa Senators
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
I seem to be ending up at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa quite often for my goal-scoring plays, and I’m back again on Monday. And I’m taking the obvious choice on the visiting Boston Bruins.
That, of course, would be David Pastrnak, the perennial 40-goal scorer who has scored in half of the Bruins’ games this season (five goals in 10 games).
