It was a nice nine-event, 11-week run of UFC events outside of their home base, but the UFC is returning to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for a Fight Night card this Saturday. But at least UFC Fight Night: Garcia vs Onama is giving a couple of up-and-comers their first chance at headlining a UFC card. For my MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 110, I’ve got the winner for the heavyweight co-main event. Let’s go!

MMA Main Card Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 110
UFC Fight Night: Garcia vs Onama (UFC Vegas 110)
Main Card Start Time: 7:00 PM EST – (ESPN+)
The heavyweight co-main event in question would be between Dominican Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Croatian Ante Delija. And, considering it’s pretty much a pick ’em on the boards, this is some good matchmaking.
Delija is the pick to win because Cortes-Acosta isn’t any good at fighting. It’s as simple as that. It was frustrating that WCA was winning fights when it was clear he wasn’t that good, but that’s heavyweight for you. Delija knocked out Marcin Tybura in his UFC debut and is a former PFL champion. Cortes-Acosta has a good chin, but Delija will test it with his fast, powerful hands, plus the Croatian has a solid ground game, an area he may exploit this weekend.
