Game 1 bore fruit for our first inning plays as each starter came out dealing. For Game 2 of the World Series, we’ll look to make another NRFI bets for October 25.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 25
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Toronto Blue Jays
First Pitch – 8:00 pm EST
Rogers Centre – Toronto, ON
Broadcast – Fox
We hit the NRFI in Game 1 of the World Series and we’re going to double down on the second game. A big piece of that is because neither team seemed to be hitting the ball hard early to kick of the series. Some early runs were scored, but it was mostly on bleeders and bloops. Additionally, base running errors kept there from being much more. So to start, I’m already not in love with the way the offenses are looking. Then you can add in the pitching for even more faith in the NRFI.
Kevin Gausman will be the first on the bump. In his last 18.0 innings thrown, he’s allowed just four earned runs – which comes out to a 2.00 ERA in that span. He’s also only allowed just 10 total hits in that span. Most of his trouble has come thanks to walks, which I don’t see being a big enough of an issue in this one.
The bottom of the inning is another guy who has been straight dealing. Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Over the last two months, he’s thrown 46.2 innings and allowed only six total runs. That comes out to a 1.15 ERA in that span and he’s also struck out 52 in that time. If the Blue Jays are going to break out the bats, it won’t be early in the game against him.
