The wild offensive outburst in the ALCS caused us to have a split on our first inning action. Luckily for us the NLCS hung on for our NRFI play. Now we’ll look to duplicate that later success with our NRFI bets for October 14.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 14
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers
First Pitch – 8:08 pm EST

The Brewers dug into their bullpen to find an arm to throw in Game 1. Aaron Ashby was the first man up to face the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Teoscar Hernandez and Freddie Freeman. While he walked Ohtani, the rest of the inning was uneventful and he got himself through it. The good news is that they now have an actual starter going on Tuesday. Freddie Peralta hasn’t exactly been lights out as of late, but he has a solid history with the top three in this order. The first three Dodgers hitters are a career 6-for-28 (.214 batting average) with six strikeouts. That seems like it has us set up for NRFI success.
Closing out the NRFI play here will be Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Dodgers ace comes into the game in great form over the last month and a half. If you combine his September and his October, he has posted a 1.19 ERA. In that span, he’s also fanned 45 in 37.2 innings. Even in the wins, the Brewers aren’t putting up much offense. Getting three early outs should be a cake walks for Yamamoto.
