NFL Week 6 Defensive Player Props – Best Bets

Our Favorite Sack Props

Dante Fowler Jr. – DAL (+205)

My favorite sack prop of the week is Dante Fowler in Carolina on Sunday. After having their defense look terrible for weeks in a row, the Cowboys decided to bring the pressure last week. That resulted in quite a few sacks and a big win. Fowler not only had one of those sacks, but was pressuring the quarterback more than once. I think he works his way into the backfield more this week and gets another.

Kwity Paye – IND (+182)

There aren’t a lot of quarterbacks taking more sacks than Kyler Murray. In five games, he’s been taken down 16 times, or 3.2 per game. The Colts are good at getting into the backfield as well. They rank 6th in sacks in the league and have 3.7 per game over their last three. One of the guys getting the best pressure is Paye, so we’ll ride with him for a likely sack.

Our Favorite Tackle Props

Bradley Chubb – MIA – Over 2.5 Tackles and Assists (+110)

Look, I imagine based on what we’ve seen that the Miami defense is going to allow a lot of points. They have not been strong this year and the Chargers need a statement win. If they get up early, I expect them to use their two sub-par young running backs to try to milk the clock. If they do that, there should be plenty of opportunities for linebackers to pick up tackles in the middle. Chubb has been over this mark in three of his last four and I’d love to see it here again.

Fred Warner – SF – Over 8.5 Tackles and Assists (-135)

It’s a little chalky, but Fred Warner never comes up short. In the last four weeks, he’s recorded 42 tackles and assists (or 10.5 per game). Those numbers already blow there projections out of the water. Now he’ll play Tampa Bay, who has a large number of passes over the middle and who has a quarterback that doesn’t mind running the ball a little bit.

Our Favorite Interception Props

Keisean Nixon – GB (+700)

I love the line here on Nixon to finally get that pick. For one, nobody on the Packers is getting to more passes than he has. In five weeks, he’s already deflected seven passes without pulling one in. Now he has the pleasure of facing Joe Flacco. Despite playing one less game, Flacco is third in the NFL in terms of picks. Put him in with a new offense and there is sure to be some miscommunication.

DeShon Elliott – PIT (+1200)

One fun longshot bet for Sunday is the pick prop on DeShon Elliott. He has already snagged one from the safety spot so far this year and he has a gret matchup to do it again on Sunday. He faces Dillon Gabriel, who is entering just his second game this year. While he stayed safe mostly in the first week, I expect him to take a few more chances as he settles in.
