We’re getting towards the end. The MLB playoffs have raged on and we’re down to just one game on Friday. Although, that doesn’t mean we can’t hit you with some NRFI bets for October 10.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 10
Detroit Tigers vs. Seattle Mariners
First Pitch – 8:08 pm EST
T-Mobile Park – Seattle, WA

In the deciding Game 5, it’s not surprsing that we’re going to get a solid pitching matchup that heavily favors an NRFI for Friday. George Kirby gets the ball first and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in a start in a month’s time. Over that time, he has put up a 2.42 ERA and his strikeout numbers have been sky high. In 22.1 innings, he’s fanned 39 batters – which gives him a good chance to get out of any early jam that might arise. Earlier in the series, he kept the Mariners quiet for the first four innings – I see him doing it again.
The bottom of the inning should be even less of a sweat than the top half. The reason is that we’re getting last year’s AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal on the bump. Skubal has been nasty all season – posting a 2.21 ERA on the year. He’s been even better in the postseason with a 1.84 ERA since the calendar moved to October. He threw earlier in this series and breezed through the Seattle order the first time through. Let’s bank on him doing it yet again for another NRFI cash.
