After an explosive UFC 320 in Las Vegas to kick off the month, the UFC octagon continues its world tour this Saturday, landing in the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. While we lost half of the main event, the UFC found a viable replacement to keep popular native son Charles Olveira atop the card. Heavyweight submission experts are a rare breed, but Valter Walker has quickly become one. While he still has more knockouts (six) than submissions (four), the number of submissions is rising rapidly. ‘The Clean Monster’ has won three straight fights via submission, by the same type of submission – a heel hook – which is even rarer than a heavyweight submission expert.
Mohammed Usman has no ground game, so I expect Walker to have no issues getting him down and tapping him out. And if you can find a book that allows you to bet on the type of submission, you know what to do.
