Chicago Blackhawks vs Florida Panthers
Start Time: 5:00 PM EST
We start things off in the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, the home of the back-to-back Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. However, things aren’t all lollipops and puppy dogs in Florida, as the Panthers will be without their top player, Aleksander Barkov, for the full season due to a knee injury. Plus, they’ll be starting the year without Matthew Tkachuk.
But at least they can ease into things by starting the season off against the Chicago Blackhawks. And Florida still has their top scorer, Sam Reinhart, who scored in both of the team’s games against Chicago last season.
Colorado Avalanche vs Los Angeles Kings
Start Time: 10:30 PM EST
The Colorado Avalanche will try to bounce back from a down season by their standards as they start things off on the road at crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles tomorrow night to face the Kings. With all the talent the Avalanche have rostered, they have to be considered a Cup contender pretty much every season.
And no talent shines brighter and more consistently than Nathan MacKinnon. I’m looking for him to jump out of the gate with a hot start by scoring tomorrow night.
