Atlanta Braves vs Detroit Tigers
Start Time: 1:10 PM EST
Lucky for the Detroit Tigers that they got off to a hot start to the season, because it’s been a slog of late. The Tigers have gone 3-7 over their last 10, and 7-13 over their past 20. But they’ve already banked 85 wins, which in this expanded playoff world we’re living in, pretty much has locked up a postseason birth for them.
However, they definitely want to get the highest seeding in the American League that they can. And good news for them – they’re at home tomorrow, where they are 46-32 (one of the top marks in MLB), and they have the Atlanta Braves in town for Game 2 of a three-game interleague series.
The Braves are having another lost season that we’ll chalk up to horrible injury luck. They are also a below-average team on the road, with a 34-44 record away from their home field.
After crunching all the numbers, the Tigers are almost a run better tomorrow based on the advanced stats, so Detroit on the moneyline is my best bet for Saturday.
