Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for August 27
Colson Montgomery – Higher than 0.5 Total Bases
Montgomery has been hot as of late for the White Sox. He not only is rocking a four-game hitting streak, but he has a home run in each of the last four games as well. So in that four game spell, he has racked up 19 total bases. The idea of him finding just one on Wednesday seems like an easy get. He’ll also get to face a righty pitcher with Ryan Bergert on the bump for the Royals in this one.
Junior Caminero – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
While Caminero came up empty on Tuesday, he has also been one of the hotter hitters lately. He had a five-game hitting streak coming into that game and had eight hits over that span. That includes four homes and a double, meaning that 62.5% of those hits have been for extra bases. As a result, we’re probably just looking for one hit from him as well. He’ll face Slade Cecconi, who has given up a homer in seven straight games. Three of those games have seen him tagged for more than one – bringing the total to ten home runs in the last seven. I like Caminero’s chances to add to that.
Drake Baldwin – Higher than 1.5 Hits + runs + RBIs
It’s been five straight games that Baldwin has had a hit in. Not only that, but he didn’t even start on Tuesday and still managed to get on the board. In that five game stint, his totals for hits, runs and RBIs is 15 (or 3.0 per game). He’ll face Ryan Gusto, who has been hammered in both of his starts since becoming a Marlin. One of those was against the Braves, where Baldwin went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI. Let’s get him on the board here too.
