After two weekends of UFC Apex slop (they turned out to be fun fight cards, to be fair), it’s pay-per-view time this coming weekend in the UFC. UFC 319 goes down from Chicago’s United Center on Saturday, with the UFC Middleweight Championship on the line in the main event. For my MMA Underdog Pick of the Week: UFC 319, I’m going with the dog in the co-main event. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

UFC 319: Du Plessis vs Chimaev
Start Time: Saturday – 6:00 PM EST – (ESPN+/ESPN/PPV)
Former world champion wrestler Aaron Pico makes his UFC debut on Saturday after going 13-4 in the now-defunct Bellator MMA. After a bumpy start to his pro MMA career, Pico has turned things around, as outside of dislocating his shoulder in a fight, he’s undefeated over his last 10 fights.
You know who is REALLY undefeated? Pico’s debut UFC opponent, Lerone Murphy, is 17-0-1 in his pro career, including going 8-0-1 in the UFC octagon. Murphy has fought and beaten a steady string of top-level, veteran fighters, something Pico has not. Pico will find out there are levels to this sport on Saturday night.
