I’ve long been saying that once I had enough data collected, I’d clean up with my WNBA bets. Well, it looks like the chickens have finally come home to roost (in a good way), as I’m up big in August. BUT I WANT MORE!!! Here are your WNBA predictions and preview for Friday, August 8th.

New York Liberty vs Dallas Wings

Start Time: 7:30 PM EST

I initially found the spread for this game surprising, as Breanna Stewart is still out of action for the New York Liberty, the Liberty are only 6-7 on the road, and the Dallas Wings have played the Liberty tough this season.

Then I saw that Paige Bueckers is on the injury report with a back issue. The good news is she appears to be expected to play. My line is New York -5, so I’m taking the Wings plus the points.

Best Bet: Dallas +8.5 (-110)

Washington Mystics vs Minnesota Lynx

Start Time: 7:30 PM EST

What to do with this game? It should be a slam-dunk pick for the Minnesota Lynx, as they are lapping the competition this year, leading the league in everything. That includes being 15-1 at home in the Target Center.

But, of course, their superstar Napheesa Collier is still on the sidelines with a sprained ankle. But the Lynx won on the road against a very tough Seattle team without her in their last game, so I’m still in. My line is Minnesota -16.5 (with Collier), so I’m going with the Lynx.
