Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for July 30
Zebby Matthews – Higher than 5.5 Strikeouts
The Twins righty is just six games into his 2025 campaign, but he’s shown some legitimate strikeout stuff. This season, he’s averaging 6.33 strikeouts per game. However, that number is pulled down by the fact that he had some short outings to start the year. He’s been working deeper into games and now gets the Red Sox. Boston has been one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to striking out. They rank 28th with 9.03 strikeouts per game and there is not a team in the majors who strikes out more on the road.
Kelsey Mitchell – Higher than 19.5 Points
Mitchell is on an insane run right now in terms of scoring. She’s gone for at least 20 points in six of her last seven games (seven of her last eight if you want to count the 20 she posted in the All-Star Game). On top of that, the last three games have been particularly good to her. She’s posted 85 total points in those games, or 28.3 points per game. Phoenix is a tough defense, but with Caitlin Clark still on the mend, Mitchell should have plenty of chances.
Paige Bueckers – Higher than 16.5 Points
Speaking of players regularly blowing out their projections, Bueckers has been handling this number quite easily as of late. She’s had at least 17 points in five of her last six games. In that span, she has averaged 18.2 points per game. She hasn’t scored all that well against Atlanta this year, which is likely what’s dragging the number down in this one. However, she wasn’t as hot then as she currently is.
