NASCAR Picks: Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway Odds and Best Bets

It’s another race in the Midwest for the top two series of NASCAR this week. They’ll head to Newton, Iowa, to take on the “Fastest Short Track in the World.” The 7/8th-mile oval was added to the Cup Schedule for the first time last season. For the second straight season, this race has sold out in the weeks leading up to the event. Let’s dive in and take a look at this week’s NASCAR picks, odds, and best bets for the Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway.

The TV broadcast leaves the Turner Family of networks and heads to the NBC Family of Networks for the rest of the season. This week’s race at Iowa Speedway can be found on USA Network. It was Ryan Blaney who took home the win in last year’s inaugural event, leading 201 of the race’s 350 laps. After Bubba Wallace’s Brickyard 400 win, 13 drivers have now won in the 2025 season for the Cup Series. Just four races remain in the regular season.

NASCAR Picks: Iowa Corn 350 at Iowa Speedway Odds and Best Bets

Chase Briscoe Top 10 (+100)

I shared a lot of bets on Chase Briscoe this week on the NASCAR Gambling Podcast, but this one is by far my favorite for the week. Briscoe is one of the hottest drivers in the series right now and is a strong short flat track driver as well. He’s finished in the top two in two of the last three races and top seven in four of the last seven events. Briscoe is coming off a second-place finish at Dover just two weeks ago, a track that can be looked at as the most recent “comp” track we have to look at.

He won at Phoenix a few years ago, finished second at New Hampshire last year, and has four top 10 finishes at Phoenix in the NextGen era. All of those, in the Stewart-Haas #14 car. Between Martin Truex’s short-flat track success, Briscoe’s prowess on them, and his current form. I love all things Chase Briscoe this week.

Denny Hamlin Top 5 (+125)

Staying in the Joe Gibbs Racing camp. We’ll head to Briscoe’s teammate and the hottest driver in the sport, Denny Hamlin. In last week’s article, we had Hamlin top three (+140), and despite a backup car and starting shotgun on the field, Hamlin delivered yet again. Hamlin has a top-three finish in five straight non-drafting ovals this year. He won at Dover and finished second at Phoenix. The two tracks we’ve been to this year that I’m looking at as comparison tracks.

Overall, Hamlin has 11 top-five finishes in 21 starts this season. In 17 NextGen starts on 1-mile tracks (Dover, Phoenix, Gateway, and New Hampshire.) Hamlin is second among active drivers in average finish (10.5). I’m riding the hot hand with Hamlin again this week.

Alex Bowman Top 10 (+250)

If you’ve followed the NASCAR Gambling Podcast world over the last few years, Alex Bowman’s top 10 is a bet that’s made us a lot of money. Lately, he’s back on a positive streak once again. Bowman has finished in the top 11 in six of the last seven races this season. Last year at Iowa, he scored an eighth-place finish. At Dover, he finished third. While scoring a seventh-place finish at Phoenix earlier this year.

Joe Gibbs Racing Team to Win (+200)

Why pick one when you can have them all? I’m super in on this Gibbs Racing team right now, and they are firing on all cylinders. Initially, I was going to just bet Christopher Bell at +425, but I love getting a little less juice and getting all four of them. Bell is one of, if not the best, at short flat tracks. Dominating places like New Hampshire and showing up well at Gateway and Phoenix.

I’m also invested in Briscoe at 19/1 and Ty Gibbs 40/1. If either of them wins, this adds a little icing on the cake. Briscoe is easily my heaviest investment this week, and Gibbs is knocking on the door of a win any day. On top of these three great options, you also get Denny Hamlin. Who, as mentioned above, is the hottest driver in the sport right now?
