Toronto Blue Jays vs Baltimore Orioles
Start Time: 6:35 PM EST
At 63-43, my ‘hometown’ squad, the Toronto Blue Jays, is the best team in baseball. What bizarro world are we living in?! That’s what going 23-7 over a 30-game span will do for you, I guess. As for the Baltimore Orioles, whom the Jays visit to start a four-game series on Monday, they’ve won 14 of their last 30, which is a big improvement for them.
Not only are the Blue Jays the superior team, but they are sending the superior pitcher out to start tomorrow in Chris Bassitt, who is having a strong season for Toronto. The Orioles counter with Zach Eflin, who, like the team he pitches for, is struggling, sporting a 5.78 ERA. And to top it off, Toronto is better on the road (26-26) than Baltimore is at home (24-26).
Despite all of this, we’re getting Toronto for a nice price on the moneyline. Go, Jays, go!
