NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 19th
Sacramento Kings vs Toronto Raptors
Start Time: 4:00 PM EST
At this stage of the Summer League, it’s hard to tell which teams are still going to be playing their prospects and which are packing it in. For that reason, we’ll stick with one of the semifinal matchups in order to keep things competitive.
The first of the two semifinal spots sees the 4-0 Kings up against the 4-0 Raptors. While both teams have obviously shown they’re good, I like the veteran leadership of the Raptors just a bit more.
Ja’Kobe Walker was terrible last game for them. He shot just 1-of-11 from the field and 1-of-9 from deep. However, if we look at some of his games from the regular season, it seems unlikely that he’ll be that cold again. Additionally, even being as cold as he was, there was plenty to pick him up. That includes fellow veteran Jamison Battle and lottery pick Collin Murray-Boyles.
The Kings don’t have nearly that star power or depth. However, because of the macthing perfect records, the line has stayed close in this one.
Best Bet: Raptors -2.5 (-125)
