Following the Blazers’ performance on Thursday night, we’re now riding a four-game winning streak on the NBA Summer League. We want to keep that momentum going on Friday with 12 teams in action once again. We’ve dug through all of the action for Friday’s games to get you a winner. Here’s my NBA Summer League prediction and best bet for Friday, July 18th.
NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 18th
Utah Jazz vs Chicago Bulls
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The Bulls entered the second game of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas as 4.5-point underdogs against the Pacers. Not only did they go out there and cover, but they managed to win the game outright. And they didn’t just win the game, but they led for nearly the entire thing – ultimately winning by 9. A lot of the thanks in this one went to Matas Buzelis and Noa Essengue, who showed why they were both top picks.
Their encore came next against the Bucks, where again they were installed at 4.5-point dogs. All they did in this one was come out and grab another outright win. This one was even more impressive as it served as a day off for the top rookies. Instead Jahmir Young, an undrafted free agent from 2024, put up a gaudy 40 points.
Now with the two rookies likely back in action – they seem to be playing every other game – you have to imagine the Bulls will be firing on all cylinders. The Jazz do have a trio of guys with NBA experience in Cody Williams, Kyle Filipowski, and Isaiah Collier, but their lack of depth has proven to be too big of a hurdle in Vegas. As a result, I’ll take the Bulls to cover again in this one.
Best Bet: Bulls -2.5 (-110)
