I’m doubling down on my best bet that I posted on Wednesday, and I’m going in on Ireland’s Shane Lowry tomorrow on his home soil. Not only is Lowry going to be the home crowd favorite, but he also won the 2019 Open Championship at this very same course, Royal Portrush.
But winning this year’s championship is a ways in the future – for my prop play for tomorrow, I’m only interested in the opening round. And Lowry has played well in the First Round at The Open Championship, carding an under 70 four times in the past, including a 66 last year at Royal Troon, and a 67 at Royal Portrush in 2019.
And when he lights up the course again tomorrow, we’re going to get plus money for it.
