NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 16th
Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls
Start Time: 5:30 PM EST
For the second straight game, the Bulls are listed as underdogs and for the second straight game, I’m wondering why.
The Bucks have lost two straight in the Summer League and seem to be leaning heavily on Chris Livingston for their offense. While he has the points in those two losses – 21 in each game – his shooting hasn’t been all that accurate. In addition, the only other veteran leadership on the team is Andre Jackson Jr., who they seem to be limiting in terms of his shots and minutes. That run has seen them lose by 10 and 15 points over the last two.
The Bulls, meanwhile are finding their stride. After figuring things out over the first two, they came out aggressive in game three. The result was a nine-point victory as nearly double-digit underdogs. You can thank the easy work of Matas Buzelis and the quick growth of Noa Essengue.
Some are guessing that Buzelis might get a break in this one, but even if he does, they have other options. The breakout passing of Yuki Kawamura should be able to, at the very least, keep them close.
Best Bet: Bulls +4.5 (-120)
