We are in to the thick of the NBA Summer League in Vegas, which now gives us a decent sample size for every team. That’s good because we have 14 teams in action on Monday and we’re looking for a winner. We’ve dug through all of the action for Monday’s games to get you a winner. Here’s my NBA Summer League prediction and best bet for Monday, July 14th.
NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 14th
Chicago Bulls vs Indiana Pacers
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST
The Bulls come into Monday’s action without a win yet. They’ve dropped both of their first two games by a combined 61 points. However, I think the time to strike on them is now.
They had a bit working against them in the first two games. Matas Buzelis came out a bit rusty in the first one, only to find his way after they had already been blown out. Then he sat for the second game, which is when we saw rookie Noa Essengue start to flash his brilliance. After giving Buzelis a rest, I expect him back in action and firing on all cylinders.
The Pacers are coming into this one with a 1-1 record. Their trajectory looks to be heading in the opposite direction though. After playing well in their first one, their shooting was terrible in their most recent game. Their starting five combined to shoot 2-of-19 from three-pointm which included a 0-of-6 day from rookies Kam Jones and Johnny Furphy.
If they shoot like that on Monday, they will not cover this spread. With Buzelis in the lineup I’d even consider a Bulls moneyline.
