MMA Same Game Parlay of the Week: UFC Nashville
UFC Nashville Heavyweight Fight: Vitor Petrino vs Austen Lane
Start Time: 6:30pm EST (ESPN+)
With all of the lines on this fight, it’s pretty clear that the books think that this will end quickly. I understand the sentiment as Austen Lane has been knocked out pretty badly on more than one occasion and Petrino has dynamite in his hands. However, I think they’ve gone a little overboard with just how low the estimates are.
The first of these projections that has gotten far too low is the significant strikes for the underdog. You can get a reasonable parlay builder with the strikes set at 10+ for Lane, which I think is an easy get for him. Despite being knocked out in two of his last three fights, he has reached that number in every one of them.
I also think they’re low on the projected takedowns for Petrino. Those lines are coming in close to even that he’ll get even one of them. He’s scored at least one takedown in five of his six UFC fights. Additionally, he’ll be up a weight class against a brutal reach advantage and might find himself in need of one to change the tune of the fight.
