Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for July 10
Bryan Woo – Higher than 5.5 Strikeouts
I almost did a double take when I saw this projection on Underdog Fantasy. Bryan Woo has been lights out en route to an All-Star Game selection. He’s striking out nearly a batter an inning and has been far better than that in his last three. Over that span (18.0 innings), he’s fanned 26 batters. To make this projection even wilder, the Yankees rank 27th in strikeouts this year. Woo should blow right past this number early.
Kelsey Plum – Higher than 17.5 Points
In the matinee of WNBA on Thursday, Kelsey Plum is the target for a big game. Minnesota is good on defense, but someone from Los Angeles has to score in this one. Since Cameron Brink has been out with a knee injury, Plum has been over this mark in four of the six games. Not only that, in a showdown with Minnesota earlier in the year, Plum came in over this mark as well.
Chandler Simpson – Higher than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
Simpson comes into Thursday’s action on the heels of a 13-game hitting streak. In that streak, he’s put up a .404 batting average and has only struck out three times. To make matters easier for him, he’ll get a left-right matchup with Walker Buehler on the bump. Buehler posted an 11.07 ERA in June and didn’t look amazing in his first start of July. Simpson should be able to extend the hit streak and find a way to score here.
