Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for June 28th
Brandon Royval – Higher than 70.5 Significant Strikes
We’ll start off this week’s entry with UFC 317’s main card. The flyweight known as “Raw Dawg” is ready for a showdown with up-and-comer Joshua Van. These significant strike numbers seem like child’s play for Royval, who has been higher than 100 in each of his last three fights. Granted those were five round fights, but they also involved a lot of grappling. This fight should be all striking all the time and 71 should be a quick target.
Quinn Priester – Higher than 4.5 Strikeouts
Priester satisfies one of my favorite system plays this MLB season – always play the higher on strikeouts against the Rockies. The Rockies are fanning at an alarming rate. On average, they go down on stikes 9.83 times per game, and struck out 11 times on Friday. Priester has averaged exactly 4.5 over his last four starts. That includes some shorter outings due to being hit around. He should have less of a problem with that here and the strikeout numbers should come.
Hideki Matsuyama – Lower than 68.5 Round Strokes
Matsuyama has been playing solid golf this week, and I don’t expect it to stop on Saturday. He shot a 5-under 67 on Thursday and followed that up with a 6-under 66 on Friday. We’ve seen 13 birdies and an eagle from him this weekend and he’s driving the ball exceptionally well. The weather doesn’t look any worse for the wear on Saturday, so let’s ride him momentum here.
