Underdog Fantasy – DFS Picks for June 27th
Jarren Duran – Higher than 1.5 Total Bases
The first pick I’m putting in any Underdog entry on Friday is Jarren Duran’s total bases. On one hand, he’s been hot with the extra bases as of late. He’s got a double in two of his last three games and a hit in four of his last five. To make matters even better, he has a great history with Jose Berrios. In 21 career at-bats, he has 10 hits against him. Eight of those hits have been for extra bases.
Noah Cameron – Higher than 3.5 Strikeouts
Sure, Noah Cameron isn’t exactly a strikeout king. In fact, he’s known more for getting people out with weak contact. However, he’s got a couple things working for him here. Firstly, he’s seen an uptick in those strikeout numbers as of late. He’s fanned 15 over his last three games. In addition, he’ll face the Dodgers on Friday, who have plenty of swing and miss in them. They’re 16th in the majors in batter strikeouts with nearly nine a game. Additionally, over the last three games, they’ve struck out seven times per game.
Logan Gilbert – Higher than 6.5 Strikeouts
Closing out this DFS lineup is Logan Gilbert’s strikeouts. Over his last five games, we’ve seen good swing and miss stuff from the Mariners righty. He’s higher than this number in three of his last five and has gone well over it a couple times. Just two games ago, he fanned 10 Red Sox. Helping his cause here is the fact that the Rangers are not scoring a lot of runs. That should help Gilbert get a little deeper in the game.
