After a down season by their standards (80-82), the Tampa Bay Rays are back to doing Tampa Bay Rays things this year. Sitting at 43-35, the Rays are two games behind the New York Yankees for tops in the American League East, and the advanced stats rank them as the fifth-best team in the majors. And they’ve been considered unlucky, as the stats say they should have three more wins than they do.
And it seems their luck against the Kansas City Royals is finally starting to change, as they are up big Tuesday night as of this writing (going into action tonight, they were 0-3 against the Royals). With Drew Rasmussen on the mound tomorrow, I like Tampa Bay to notch another win in KC. After crunching the numbers, the Rays should be over a run better than the Royals.
Tampa Bay on the moneyline is my best bet for Wednesday.
