One of my gimme, layup, easy tip-in prop plays that was guaranteed money was the over on Sergei Bobrovsky’s saves for the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Edmonton Oilers. The Oilers shoot more than any other team in the league this season, and Bobrovsky is stopping more than enough to always hit the over.
Then he went out and didn’t get close to the line for Game 5. It was no fault of his own – Edmonton only managed 21 shots on net, and the netminder stopped 19 of them. I expect things to get back to normal for tomorrow’s Game 6, as with their backs against the wall, you’d expect the Oilers will come out blasting early and often at the net. And Bobrovsky will stop enough for us.
And the positive of missing the over in Game 5 is that the saves number for Game 6 has come down.
