We’re fresh off a first bucket bet on Wednesday that cashed at +1000. Mikal Bridges got himself, and by extension us, on the board first for the big win. Now we’re looking for who can hit a first bucket prop for May 15. There’s only one game to pick from today. Game 6 comes to us from Denver as Oklahoma City looks to close out the series and head to the Western Conference Finals.

The Thunder came into this series with all of the advantages for the first bucket. They had better jumpball stats and more first buckets on the year. Those numbers have panned out as this series has unfolded. They have scored the last three first buckets in this series. They’ve also won four of the five jumps – which is important when you consider 65.7% of first buckets come from tip winners this year. There is enough of a lead in the stats and enough of a trend for us to continue riding with the Thunder here.
It’s easy after cashing a big play to keep looking down ballot. However, I’m heading towards the top of the list and playing Chet Holmgren in this one. He took the first shot by the Thunder in the last game. Also, the game before, he took two of the first four shots. His early action and the way he stretches defense is enough for me. The fact that he isn’t the odds on favorite is just a cherry on top.
