North Texas Mean Green vs Texas State Bobcats
Start Time – 4:00 PM EST
For the second year in a row, the First Responder Bowl will be an all-Texas affair, with last year’s winner – the Texas State Bobcats – returning to take on the North Texas Mean Green. And if the bookmakers know anything (they normally do), the Bobcats have a very good shot at pulling off the repeat.
However, while Texas State is the superior team and will probably win this game, I don’t think they’ll cover the large spread. The North Texas Mean Green is by no means a good team – especially on defense – but when you dive into the advanced stats, they shouldn’t be more than a 3.5-point dog in this spot. The value is on the Mean Green on the spread.
